High Voltage Engineering Lab


UG lab

High Voltage Engineering Lab resides at lab No. 116B, ground floor EE building. This lab is well equipped with BDV oil test kit, Oil dissipation factor and dc resisitivity measurement kit, cascade transformer of 100 kVAC, 140 kV DC test set up, 150 kV, 1.5 kJ Impulse Voltage Generator, 30-0-30 kV Insulation Tester, DSO, Sphere Gap and Rod Gap with different geometries for high voltage measurement and investigation, Insulator test bench, Electrolytic Tank etc. Students can understand/perform the experiments to learn and investigate the performance of various insulation in different environmental conditions under HVDC, HVAC and Short duration Impulse voltages.
