Ramanbhai Patel College of Pharmacy, a constituent institute of Charotar University of Science and Technology (CHARUSAT) organized Continuing Education Program for Pharmacy Teachers during 26th to 28th July 2018 on the theme “Teaching-Learning Methodology in Pharmacy Teaching”. This program was orgganized with aim to educate pharmacy teachers on new advancements and to build upon a teacher’s expertise in pharmacy education.
The program was spread over 3 days of sessions and divided into 11 sessions on teaching learning methodologies. Total 11 eminent personalities from India were invited as resource persons to deliver talks on different topics. 30 pharmacy teachers of different pharmacy colleges and institutions of Gujarat state participated in the program.
Prof. N. R. Sheth, Vice-Chancellor, Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad remained present as Chief Guest while Dr. M. T. Chhabria, Professor and Principal, L. M. College of Pharmacy, Ahmedabad remained present as Guest of Honor in Inaugural Function. Dr. Pankaj Joshi, Provost, CHARUSAT presided over the function. Prof. N. R. Sheth had addressed the gathering with his inspirations words.
All the participants were awarded with certificate of participation. All participants interacted with resource persons and discussed about innovative methods of teaching along with basics of devising new pedagogies. This program helped them in building the existing knowledge, teaching skills and enhance the instructional abilities in view of the challenges of pharmaceutical education with the changing perspective of the global village. The program would serve as a platform where intelligence and passion intersected to explore the innovative solutions and strategies making the program a perfect platform to share proficiency. These sessions would be useful to pharmacy teachers through enrichment in teaching skills and pedagogy.
