The Manikaka Topawala Institute of Nursing (Formerly known as Charotar Institute of Nursing) has been established in 2009. It offers 60 seats for its four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing course and is affiliated to the CHARUSAT and Indian Nursing Council. The collage has been set up with the primary aim of meeting the requirement of nurses in the nation and abroad.
The goal of B.Sc. Nursing programme is to prepare nurses who are able, function efficiently and effectively, as a member of health care team and who is qualified to meet the nursing needs of the people in the society. The programme provides a basis for further development and continued learning of the graduate.
The B.Sc. Nursing programme offers students experience in major settings where health care is delivered. As a B.Sc. Nursing programme graduate, you have the greatest opportunity for advancement.
The B.Sc. Nursing programme prepares you for leadership, management and more independent roles, such as clinical nurse specialist, nurse practitioner, educator and researcher. A B.Sc. Nursing is preferred and often required for military nursing, case management, public health nursing, overseas/development nursing and forensic nursing.
Under the same umbrella we are running GNM programme, It was established in the year 2011. It offers 40 seats for its Three year Diploma in Nursing course and is affiliated to the Gujarat Nursing council and Indian Nursing Council.
The goal of GNM programme is to prepare nurses who are able, function efficiently and effectively, as a member of health care team and who are qualified to meet the nursing needs of the people in the society. The programme provides a basis for further development and continued learning.
The Manikaka Topawala Institute of Nursing offers PG program in all five specialties affiliated to Indian Nursing Council and Gujarat Nursing Council (Medical Surgical Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Obstetric and Gynecological Nursing & Mental Health Nursing) 4 seats in each specialty.
The aim of the postgraduate program in nursing is to prepare graduates to assume responsibilities as nurse specialists, consultants, educators, administrators in a wide variety of professional settings
Fees: Fees for the course will be fixed as per Gujarat Government norms from time to time.
The Doctoral programme (PhD) in Nursing started its session from June 2011. Our institute was the first in the state of Gujarat under state private university act to start PhD in Nursing. Our Research council had already approved PhD guides. We have now 8 research scholars registered under our university.
