Smt. Chandaben Mohanbhai Patel Institute of Computer Applications, is a constituent post-graduate institution of CHARUSAT offering a three-year full-time Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme with the intake of 60 students per year, a two-year full-time MCA Lateral programme with an intake of 120 students per year, a two-year full-time Master of Science in Information Technology (M.Sc.(IT)) programme with intake of 60 students per year, a five-year full-time Dual Degree Master of Computer Applications (MCA-Dual Degree BCA + MCA) programme with intake of 60 students per year and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.) programme (Full time/Part time).

The current scenario of industrial and governmental developments in the country provides an ever growing need for highly trained manpower in the field of Computer Applications and Information Technology.

The MCA programme is designed to equip the students in soft skills, computing technologies, applications development tools, web-technologies and offer specialization in specific application areas.

The M.Sc.(IT) programme aims to produce skilled professionals armed with knowledge of the core principles underlying computer science and understanding of emerging industry trends. This programme is designed for students who wish to build a professional career in Information Technology. The programme offers specializations in Web Technologies and Network Technologies.

The MCA Dual programme aims to provide academic knowledge base from which an advanced career in Computer Application can be developed.

The Institute has a well laid-out campus and adequate infrastructure. It has a well-stocked library with around 8712 books, 17 e-journals and 3303 titles. Students can also visit central library which is well stocked with around 67893 books, 284 print journals and 13280 online journals.
