From the year of its inception, Kelavani Mandal established its
First Campus at Anand. D Z Patel (Ramol / London) Higher
Secondary School and Jashkamal (Milcent) Vocational Training
Centre were the units which started functioning at Anand Campus.
If Anand Campus was just a beginning, the next step was bigger in life and size.

Came year 2000 and the foundation for a world-class profession Education Campus
was laid at Changa on 45 acres of land. The aspiration was to have Campus with global
level infrastructure and most modern Education Practices.
Charotar Institute of Technology – the Engineering
Institute was the first to begin at Education Campus Changa.

With the help of philanthropic donors, the
dedicated employees and the students
the Campus achieved a stupendous growth in short span of only 9 years. Charotar Institute of Computer Applications offering
MCA Programme was started in 2002.
Ramanbhai Patel College of Pharmacy – which is presently
offering B Pharm and M Pharm Programmes was established in the year 2004.

Year 2006 saw the commencement of Indukaka Ipcowala Institute
of Management which offers MBA Programme.
Two institutes P D Patel Institute of Applied Sciences
and Dr. K C Patel R & D Centre were started
in the year 2007.

Dr. K C Patel R & D Centre conducts research
in emerging sciences like Nanotechnology, Renewable Energy and Biotechnology.
P D Patel Institute of Applied Sciences offers Masters
Programs in Applied Sciences like Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry and
Nano Science and Technology.
The year 2009, continuing the growth, witnessed the establishment of
Charotar Institute of Physiotherapy and Charotar Institute
of Nursing heralding the entry in the field of Healthcare
Education.
The Campus which started in the year 2000 with only 1 Institute, only 4 Undergraduate
Programs and employee strength of only 25 personnel now, in 2009, boasts of 10 fold
growth. There are 8 Institutes offering Eighteen different Programs
comprising and 300 plus personnel.
The Capital outlay, which was only Rs. 30 million in 2000 now stands at staggering
figure of Rs. 550 million.
The year 2009 will be marked as an epoch – making year. This year saw the establishment
of Charotar University of Science and Technology – CHARUSAT. The conglomerate of
Institutes which was functional at Education Campus Changa transformed into CHARUSAT
by the Permission from the Government of Gujarat.
